Hutton Joins SEH to Help Clients Solve Aging Pipes

Dave Hutton joins SEH as a client service and project manager helping cities, utilities, agencies and private industry make meaningful and lasting infrastructure improvements. Specifically, Dave will focus on applying cost-effective trenchless technologies to aging pipe networks.

We are excited to have Dave share his vast knowledge of municipal engineering and operations with our clients, and provide innovative and cost-conscious solutions to their infrastructure needs.

A Life-Long Passion for Service

Dave brings more than 30 years of expertise with city engineering, public works operations, client management and building trusting relationships. Dave spent a combined 13 years as the Director of Public Works/City Engineer for Shakopee and then Savage, Minnesota. He moved into private consulting for the past 16 years serving in roles as diverse as senior project manager, client services manager, municipal group leader, senior associate and principal. He also served as Past President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA-MN).

While he has served in numerous roles throughout his career, one thing remains the same. His passion for improving the world around him.

“I’m passionate about improving the infrastructure supporting our communities, and contributing to a higher and sustainable quality of life,” says Hutton.

Enjoying Life

Dave was born in Minneapolis. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dave and his wife, Michele, currently live in Bloomington, Minnesota. When not doing yard-work, they enjoy biking and walking on the many trails in their neighborhood, golfing, traveling, and football.
