Longtime Public Works Director Steve Kotke Joins SEH

After a career with the City of Minneapolis, Steve Kotke, PE, comes to SEH to help clients increase efficiency, effectiveness and stability.

With his extensive experience in the City of Minneapolis, Steve understands the dynamics of major agencies, and will be a big asset in helping clients succeed on their projects.

Steve will be working collaboratively with other agencies to improve efficiency, effectiveness and stability. His leadership and ability to work with multiple agencies while managing tight budgets will be a continued benefit to our clients.

Back to where it all began

Steve began his engineering career at a consulting firm, but, for the past 27 years, he’s worked in the public sector, with the City of Minneapolis.

I had a wonderful career at the City of Minneapolis and the last ten years as Director of Public Works and City Engineer were particularly exciting and unforgettable.

As he starts the next stage of his professional life, Steve is interested in change and is looking forward to going back to where it all began—consulting.

Pursuing his interests

Steve and his wife, Connie, live in the Apple Valley, Minnesota. Together, they have four daughters who have started their own families. Children raised, they now have time to pursue their interests, such as motorcycling, golfing, woodworking and photography.
