April 21, 2016

SEH was honored with the 2016 Employer of the Year award by Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) Minnesota Chapter.

The award is given each year to an organization that:

  • Enhances the transportation industry through its commitment to excellence and quality in its services or products.
  • Supports continuing education of its employees.

  • Encourages women students to enter the transportation field by providing internship and advanced education opportunities.

At SEH, we currently have 25 women in leadership team positions, including two executive team members, approximately 100 women with project management responsibilities and regional leader, Tracy Ekola.

We put people first. They are the heart of our company. We do this by providing opportunities for development, opportunities for advancement and opportunities to work on exciting projects.
Tracy Ekola, PE, regional leader

For three years in a row, our employee-owners have indicated ‘pride in their work and their work for the company’ as the number one reason they want to be part of SEH. Other notable reasons include our flexible work schedules, being part of a company that gives back and being an employee-owned company where 100 percent of profit is given back to employees.

SEH continues to increase our diversity and to be a top place to work. SEH is a growing company and we plan to attract more than 100 new employees within the coming year. With growth comes opportunity and we look forward to our people continuing to grow and advance their careers with us.
